The project is meant for women and youths of the city of Bahir Dar. City in which Amare onp has been operating since 2013 in collaboration with DASSC, the Committee on development and social services of the Ethiopian Evangelic Church Mekane Yesus. Once again Amare npo collaborates with the Evangelic-Lutheran community of Bad Salzuflen.
It is planned:
- the start of activities generating income and capacity building for 60 women;
- specific capacity building training for 332 benificiaries IGA of the triennail project 2014-2017;
- nutritional and scholastic support for 25 orphans.
The project is currently in execution. DAASC, the local partner for the project, has selected the 60 beneficiary women for the year 2017. The activies started in order to help them to start their own income generating business.
As for the 25 orphans - 12 boys and 13 girls - assisted in the project, 6 of them are currently at the university, 1 of them just finished his bachelor in chimical engeneering at Bahir Dar, and all the other ones are younger.
In addition, there are 332 beneficiaries of the triennial project 2014-2017, following a training that will help their capacity building.
In total, the project 2017 is supporting 417 beneficiaries.
In July 2018, the project has received a contribution of € 7.000,00 from the Foundation Museke.
